These four images were the result of a collaborative M.A. project undertaken in 2010. In this project I worked with Ann Bridges, an artist and printmaker from North Wales, whose work has a beautiful and vibrant style that I very much admire.

The project was an attempt to combine our ways of working to create a different narrative illustration style.

The subject chosen was the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, as told by those who were there in the book ‘Voices from Chernobyl’ by Svetlana Alexievich

This book portrays the disaster in some highly descriptive passages that I wanted to explore in a graphic way.
